Caudalie Parfum Divin

It’s not very often that you adore the scent of something and then it gets made into a fragrance – I’m still holding out hope for a chai latte perfume to go into production or for someone to find a way I can cover myself in the scent of certain Yankee candles but that’s another post entirely. The Caudalie Divine Oil was one of my favourite discoveries last year and it is an all round wonder product that I use religiously on my body, hair and even my cuticles. I adore it. The product itself is nourishing and luxurious feeling but another element that makes it so enjoyable to use is the fragrance it gives off. There really is no nicer feeling than applying this after a bath and going to bed smelling amazing, it became something of a Sunday ritual for me – Monday mornings aren’t quite so bad when you wake up smelling great.

I have been known to douse myself in more Divine oil than strictly necessary just to make myself smell so good. In fact, I love the scent so much that I own not only the oil in both regular and small sizes but also a scrub and a candle. My love is real! You can imagine the sheer joy in my heart then when I saw an email that told me there was in fact a perfume, developed by master perfumer Jacques Cavalier. I refreshed the page and made sure that I hadn’t imagined it but no, it was there in black and white. The first whiff of it was heaven, believe me. Now, I could sit here and tell you that it’s a musky, woody scent with rose, vanilla and spicy pink pepper but the real truth is that this is how I imagine a chic, sophisticated beauty editor to smell. It makes me feel like I could live in a Manhattan apartment with wood floors and no clutter and do yoga every morning before brunch whilst planning to take spa breaks every weekend. I know you know what I mean. It’s absolutely gorgeous and one of the very few fragrances I like enough to use in rotation with my beloved Stella. It’s special and beautiful and I predict I’m going to go through many bottles in my lifetime. Speaking of the bottle, it’s so chic and effortlessly classy with the wooden lid and chromatic ombre bottle. Literally divine – get it?

If you pass by a Caudalie stockist and haven’t smelled these products you really need to, and if you love the oil and didn’t know they made a perfume….sorry but I’m not sorry. You need this!

Caudalie Parfum Divin is priced at £39 for 50ml and is available now.
