CASUAL MAKE UP

Okay so when I do my make up I do it properly, for me there is no such thing as putting on some mascara and bronzer, then I think it is a waste of what I call a “beauty day”. I love to let my skin rest so either I go totally bare or I do my make up properly for at least 20-30 min. If I am going out I love to sit in front of the mirror and work some magic for an hour at least. Make up is after all one of my biggest hobbies and passions so I really enjoy it.

Today I did a simple and shimmery look and the products I used are the following:

Base: I started with Dermalogica skin smoothing cream to give the skin a boost of moist before applying the foundation. For the foundation I used Kanebo Sensai Lasting Velvet in the colour natural beige. After the foundation I did some light contouring, but because of the massive flash on the first photos the contouring is not showing so I attatched a iphone photo at the end so you all could see it a bit better. For the contouring I used the Dermaha compact cream foundation in the darkest colour. I used it on the top of my forehead along witht the hairline, underneath my cheekbones and under my chin and jawline. After that I applied the MAC compact cream concealer in colour NC15 underneath my eyes. After that conclear I applied the Make Up Forever fluid concealer “Full Cover” in colour number 6 on top of the MAC concealer underneath my eyes, but also between my eyebrows and all over my nose with the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge.

Eyes: The eyeshadows I used were “Sand Pebble” from Glo Minerals and from Lily Lolo I used “Rolling Stone”, ”Brassed off”, “Truffle Shuffle”. I love that they all have a lot of shimmer but not any glitter. Perfect for both day and night. I used Maybelline’s big eye eyeliner which consists of both a black and a white eyeliner. The white tip I used in the corner of my eyes and all the way towards the nose and blended it in with a small sponge. I love this trick since it makes the eyes looks a bit bigger!

Eyebrows: I used a couple of different colours from an old eyeshadow palette from Isadora. Any matte beige/brown shades which makes your natural hair colour will work. Even though I prefer to use creams to shape my eyebrows I wanted to try a shadow this time. After that I shaped my eyebrows with the same Make Up Forever concealer which I used underneath the eyes. However I used a concealer brush for this as you can see in the photo above. I love to shape my eyebrows with concealer around them, it really makes the pop and gives them a better shape. If I am going out I usually apply some highlighter on top of the concealer just underneath the eyebrows in the arch of the brow. I finished the eye make up with Idun Minerals mascara.

Lips: I tried a new lipgloss from the brand Rituals in the colour “nude gold”. I’m very weak for everything gold and shimmery so this is a new favourite for sure!
