Your 411 on PhotoFacials

Before you consider botox or surgery, DEFINITELY look into an IPL PhotoFacial.

A PhotoFacial is a series of gentle impulse light treatments and should be performed by a licensed Laser Specialist. It is still not only an incredibly effective treatment with patients noticing between a 75-90% improvement in their skin, but it is also a very popular treatment due to their being little to no down time.

BENEFITS OF A PHOTOFACIAL

  • Will reduce and can eliminate redness and flushing of the skin along with other pigmentation issues
  • Tighten Skin
  • Reduce pore size
  • Smooth out irregularities in skin texture
  • To reduce acne
  • Helps reduce fine lines especially around the eyes and mouth
  • Reduces dark circles around the eyes

WHO'S IT FOR?

ANYONE who wants to have overall more youthful looking skin! OR those with pigment and texture issues. I swear by them and have for years now!

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL IT TAKE?

Your Licensed Laser Specialist will be able to best answer this question as it will depend on individual circumstances. I had a series of three performed and was AMAZED with the results. Since then, I continue to come in either every six months or annually to maintain my skin and because I simply LOVE the results so much!

WHAT DOWN TIME IF ANY?

I didn't experience any down time. I did have a few darkened areas of my skin appear that I had to cover with makeup for a few days. This is simply sun damage that is coming to the surface and healing. Many people experience absolutely no down time, but again....it's going to be individually based.

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment and we will be happy to assist. If you are local and here in the Austin area, contact Austin PhotoFacial and ask for Alana Andrews at: (512) 468-7502.
