Jurlique Daily Moisture Balancing Serum, Jurlique Advanced Eye Serum review

I have been trying a few Jurlique serums in the past month, and my favourites are their lovely Daily Moisture Balancing Serum and their Advanced Eye Serum.

The Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus has been fantastic for my parched skin during winter. I use it after cleansing, and before applying my moisturiser- the humectant (water retaining) properties of this serum gives the skin a hydration boost and seems to make subsequent skin care products sink into my skin better.It also incorporates lovely botanical extracts like rose hip oil, hibiscus extract, camellia leaf extract, and green tea extract. My skin feels more plump and happy when I’ve used this consistantly underneath my usual skin care.

It is light in texture and absorbs pretty fast, although there is a slight residual tackiness (from the glycerin), that will disappear when you add the moisturiser on top. I use a pea sized amount- morning and night.

I must admit that I never really bothered with eye creams in the past. The skin around my eyes isn’t prone to milia and I never use any face products that were too ‘harsh’ to be used on the delicate skin around the eye area anyway. I put it down to laziness. Plus, the eye creams I’ve used in the past never really seemed to be any different from my usual face moisturiser which I would just use around the eyes.

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Eye Serum is different. I feel that it really refine and hydrate the eye area noticeably better than usual- and you can use it underneath eye makeup (unlike my regular moisturisers and some eye creams). Sold!

This serum features niacinamide (great for boosting hydration and reducing inflammation), squalane, botanical extracts including licorice root, lavender, peach leaf- and no unnecessary fillers or petrochemicals.
