Tutorial Tuesday – Geometrics!

I have a sick feeling that I may have already had one (or two) Tutorial Tuesdays with geometric in the title. Eh, whatever. You guys never remember anything anyway (get some Ginkgo Baloba, guys!), so I’m sure I’m fine. Blah, blah, blah…to the awesome geometric things I want to make!

Geometric lamp shade. I think I love every single tutorial this girl (now that I’m in the last days of my life, maybe I should start using the word “woman” – nah) posts. I mean, look at that wallpaper! And her latest tutorial does not disappoint. This would be pretty cool with the geometric lamp I posted about last week. So I guess this is one more thing that I’d like for my office. At this point, that list needs to be written on a scroll.

Faux Wallpaper. Did you know Sharpie makes something called a paint pen? WELL YOU DO NOW! I just learned you a lesson today. You’re welcome for the MILLIONTH time. The only downside to this tutorial is that I’m like really, really bad at measuring, so mine wouldn’t look like this. I’m from the “measure 20 times, each times comes out different, so you wing it” school of thought. OR, Ryan could do it. I mean, he’s like SUPER GOOD at measuring. It’s a huge part of his job. Mine is parsing for numbers in 1,000 page documents. You need someone to not actually read, yet make note of all the capitalized words (not including the first word in the sentence) in a super duper boring agreement, I’m your girl (woman? – nah).

Tumbling block art. Anyone feel like playing Q*bert? I just totally gave away my age (153). Anyway, can you believe this is made out of…wait for it…duct tape. DUCT TAPE!! What will they think of next? Seriously, what? Because I ran out of original ideas like 2 years ago. Ish.

As a fun side note and insight into my life – yesterday I started the new CrossFit gym and after being very tired from my numerous attempts and finally successful 30 second handstand hold (against the wall – don’t get crazy), I fell and hit my shoulder on the ground. I’m fine, but I have to tell you that as it’s the lead-in to the fact that since I bruise so easily (I do declayuh), said bruise has a honeycomb pattern from the design on the floor mats. Classic Lizzie… I guess I should just glad I didn’t fall on my literal face.
