Summer Relief

Note: I wrote this post a few days ago. It is now a frigging sauna in Kansas City. My favorite thing about this summer is that it hasn't been hot. In fact, Kansas has been in the mid 80's pretty much all summer. A few days ago, I actually got a slight cold chill in the early evening. Gasp! Could it be? Could I actually be in love with summer? Could I not be complaining about the heat, the sunburns (which I could prevent if I would apply sunscreen every hour) and I can actually look decent. No sweaty messes where I walk inside the apartment and immediately want to just wear gym clothes. Those of you who can manage to look put together above 91 degrees are angelic. At that temperature I just give up, hope no one I know sees me and throw myself dramatically onto my bed and hope that Bravo has something good on because I will hide inside until it cools off.

Earrings: C/O Hello Cheeseburger (coming soon!)
Shirt: Ann Taylor (sold out) Shorts: Target (exact) Shoes: Vince Camuto (similar) Purse: Jessica Simpson (similar)
Another great benefit of a cooler summer is that I am able to wear items from sales that are going on. This tunic is from Ann Taylor and its early spring collection. I totally got it at a steal of $25 as opposed to the over $100 price that was before. Mother nature is totally telling me that all of my sale shopping is totally worth it and I can justify long sleeve tops because now they are going to be even MORE versatile. That is totally what is happening.
