Bridemaids Makeup Tips

When people talk about a wedding, the main topics are the bride, groom and wedding party; but how about the bridesmaids? They are an important part of the wedding as well, right? As a bridesmaid you have to work really hard, do whatever the bride asks you to do and be by her side in almost every moment of the wedding; it’s not easy.

It’s tough being a bridesmaid and having to wear a dress chosen by another person just because it compliments the décor, but when that same dress or color is used by other bridesmaids it just gets nasty (and trust me when I say that it is impossible for 3-5 women to look incredible wearing the same type of dress).
So, what’s left for a bridesmaid to do on that wedding day so she can show off her personality? You guessed it, the makeup. Even if a bride asks all her bridesmaids to have the same type of look, that doesn’t mean that each and everyone will use the same makeup products and techniques.

This being said, let’s offer all the bridesmaids out there some quick tips on how to look gorgeous with the help of just a little bit of makeup.

The first question you should ask yourself is what type of makeup you are looking for?

There are thousands of options and if you are not confident in yourself, the decision will end up seeming overwhelming. There are three main categories of makeup that will help you decide a bit faster. Are you looking for a natural look, one that puts an accent on your eyes and makes them bold or one that will make a statement and emphasizes your lips and eyes?
Never forget that no matter what style you choose, a bridesmaid makeup has to bring out your true personality so don’t go over the top with tons of foundation on your skin.
If you decide to do the makeup yourself, you must use only your own products because you have bought them especially for your skin type and tone and also your skin is used with them. You will be sure to avoid a disaster on that day.

It is possible that your eyes seem a little bit irritated or dry, but just because of the past sleepless nights or the stress accumulated due to the wedding. It is highly recommended to use moisturizing eye drops. Just a drop every couple of hours will make your eyes look sparkling and fresh.

One of the most interesting pieces of advice out there regarding makeup is that a bridesmaid should take into consideration the season in which the wedding takes place. For example, if the wedding is in the summer, think about glowing ethereal colors and rich caramel during the autumn. If it takes place during the winter, try the dramatic effect of the jewels and the pastel colors during the spring.

The last and not least when it comes to makeup advice is that a bridesmaid must always carry in her clutch a tiny army of touch up tools such as mascara, lipstick, foundation and whatever other products she might have used during her makeup session.
