OUT OF FOCUS.

Lately I've been really inspired by (and slightly obsessed with) out of focus photography. I'm really not sure when or why this fascination began but I've been having a lot of trouble researching this topic. Everyone seems preoccupied with achieving beautifully sharp images and whilst I understand why this may be, it seems pretty strange that there is very little information on intentional blur.

(The first image is clearly in focus - it's just to contrast the second one!) I really like how dreamy the images can be and how the image becomes less about the super technical elements and more about the subject. I've been experimenting with manual focus and hope to improve my skills! Have you experimented with manual focus? Is there anything you can teach me? :)
