Visiting Daejeon

What happens when I find out I randomly have a Thursday off from work due to Labor Day? I go visit my babies down in Daejeon! I usually never get this day off back when I worked at CDI April so it was a surprise to get it off at this school. I think getting this day off (Labor Day of all days -_-) depends on your branch. It’s not an official red letter holiday, which means they don’t HAVE to give you the day off. I took the KTX down at around 11am, with cookies and presents in tow.

My first stop was at April… except no one was there yet hahaha. They had new staff members who had no clue who I was… -__- HOW DARE THEY HAHAH. So I rolled down to the 6th floor where Junior was to visit my babygirl Kristina and her children. Her 6 year olds were super cute. One boy was wearing a wifebeater while the other had nail polish on… haha. After hanging out there for a bit, I headed upstairs to see April. It was so magical being back. I chatted with some of the teachers until I saw Esther. Seeing her was so comforting ♥ I felt right at home cooking 떡볶이 alongside her in the computer room.

I spent the rest of the day just hanging out at April scaring children with my re-appearance. The look on Alice and Juliet’s face when they saw me was classic. I’ve missed my babies so much. And I will continue to miss them. I definitely hooked them up with some Frozen stickers. My favorite rude girls Jaehee and Sally stopped by so I took them to dinner at Cafe Cremes. I miss bonding with my kids.

I headed back to April after that and scared more children at the market day event. I stopped by Kristina’s for a bit before heading to the station to go back to the big city. I needed that day like no other. People may think I’m strange that I was so eager to visit a school I personally chose to leave but… think of the children! Seeing the look on those kids’ faces when I rolled up into the school was worth that 22,000won KTX ticket. Being back reminded me that life goes on & that I have to make the most of my current experience. I’m glad I’m in a position where I can visit once in awhile. I will definitely be making another appearance this summer when they have AIS. Until then, I’ll be in Seoul… working at POLY… doing my best. Shout-outs to all my lovely kids at April though hahah!
