Congratulations Couture Bano!
Couture Bano (My sister, as I have mentioned before on this blog) graduated this month! I do not think I can express how proud I am that she has reached this milestone in her life and is looking forward to university. I can not wait to be walking the halls of the university with her. Her graduation was amazing! Though her personally designed gown was back-ordered as well as jewellery, she found another amazing dresses that fit her look amazingly and the theme, old hollywood! The event was definitely one to remember!
For the ceremony morning Couture Bano went lollywood/bollywood and decided to emulate our eastern heritage, Pakistan. She wore a hand embroidered Anarkali (Eastern dress) purchased from a local boutique in YYC. Her jewellery was borrowed from my mother. The earrings are from my mothers wedding, made in Sialkot.

The banquet let Couture Bano emulate a old hollywood starlet, showing off our western influence. She wore a dress picked out a last minute by BCBG Maxazaria, shoes from Nine West, glass bangles from Anarkali in Lahore, and hierloom jewellery.
