It is not too often that you and a company come together to collaborate in the most magical of ways, and when this does happen you have to seize the opportunity before it gets away. So, it is my pleasure to introduce a company called Les Cliq Amandes whose ideals and philosophies line up so exact with mine that I am proud to endorse them as the best confectionary almond maker in the world!
Les Cliq Amandes literally translates into The Five Almonds. The story goes that "it all started as a simple wish--actually, five of them. In the mid 17th century, European aristocrats celebrating weddings and special occasions would offer their guests five confectionary almonds symbolizing wishes for happiness, health, wealth, longevity, and fertility. This tradition spread and continued in many parts of the world, mostly unchanged, until now. (That is until the conception of Les Cliq Amandes in 2007). At Les Cliq Amandes they took the centuries old tradition and updated it by offering new and innovative flavors and colors of dragées, creating couture, modern and outstanding designs, and renewing the set of wishes to Peach, Health, Happiness, long life, and of course, Love. What they ended up with is an incomparable gift giving experience infused with elegance and symbolism!
The three women that started this company, Yasmine, Violette, and Rose, were driven by their rich life experiences, their imagination. Today the company has been passed down to Nadia, her daughter, and Nadia's Granddaughter, Rose who continue to live out their virtuous legacy and their by putting their family and their quality confections first!
So after reading their story, I was completely floored and could not wait to receive their candies. First they asked me to go online and design the box of dragées that they were going to send to me. I picked shades of blue and white. Then I received not only the box of dragées that I had designed, but also a pouch of caramels, and a box of other confections. First I tried the almonds, and was blown away by how amazing they tasted. They were sweet, light, and absolutely delicious, although almost to beautiful to eat. Now I am the ultimate caramel girl, so I was curious to taste their caramels and I have impossibly high standards. However, their caramels melted in my mouth. They were beyond my expectations with a hint of saltiness and whipped to perfection-I literally squealed with delight! Lastly, I opened up the gorgeously wrapped box, where I was fascinated by more almonds and equally as yummy candied "pistachio pearls" which I felt the need to sequester in my belly. So conclude this tasty tale of how I fell in love with Les Cliq Amandes, I will tell you, these confections are the perfect way to celebrate any holiday, any party, or any other special occasion you might have. I personally think boxes that contain almonds with shades of blues and/or pinks would be great for a gender reveal party favor or a great way to celebrate the birth of a child!
