Cottage Roof Exposed

Another hectic week is unfolding at the cottage but I just wanted to post these photographs of the cottage upstairs. I'm going to try and get in the habit of posting shorter and more frequent posts on Nest Egg otherwise I'm never going to get anywhere.
This is the cottage upstairs before we ripped out the plasterboard with crowbars and claw hammers. My mum and I did this together and we really felt it the next day - my arms felt like I'd been bowling, you know when it hurt to stretch your hands backwards?

I don't have a particular good "before" shot but you can see the plasterboard across the top.

Life after plasterboard. It was a bit of a surprise to find they had put the new roof rafters on top of the old ones rather than replace them. The structural engineer was particularly amused by this but luckily he has a plan to resolve it and raise the head height without having to put a whole new roof on. Phew.
