Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder has become a cult favorite among beauty gurus and enthusiasts a like. The powder has become so popular that Hourglass is now introducing a line of blushes slated to hit Sephora shelves on February 21, 2014. As a Sephora VIB, I was luckily enough to get my hands on one of these blushes a few weeks ago.

These blushes come in 6 shades: Dim Fusion, a subdued coral; Ethereal Glow, a cool pink; Luminous Flush, a champagne rose; Radiant Magenta, a golden fuchsia; Diffused Heat, a vibrant poppy; and Mood Exposure, a soft plum. I was really tempted to buy every color that was available at the time, but since I already have so many blushes I settled with the one that was less like most of the blushes I own (hot pink) and went with Diffused Heat.

All the Ambient Light Blushes are marbled with Ambient Lighting Powder. When mixed together they create a multidimensional color that reflects light and gives you a nice glow. Because it mixes with the powder, it does swatch differently than what appears in the pan. Diffused Heat comes out less poppy and more pink, which was a bit of let down for me as I already have so many pinks, but it is still a gorgeous color none the less.

The blush itself is super pigmented, so a light tap of the brush is really all you need. On top of that, the color lasts throughout the day. For these reasons, I don't really mind the $35 price tag for a blush.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush is set to hit Sephora shelves on February 21st and will retail for $35.
