March Favorites

I hope everyone had a great March. With no major storms in Boston and a mid-month vacation in Savannah, the month flew by for me. Without even realizing it, I have racked up a lot of new products lately, many of which I am loving and can't wait to share.

Fabulips "Pout"-o-matic Lip Perfecting System, Bliss - This sugar lip scrub and exfoliating tool duo have transformed my lips. With just the first use, my lips were completely smooth and exfoliated. I have never used Bliss' Fabulips until this set. Its super creamy and stays on the lips as you are exfoliating. The massaging tool really works the scrub into your lips.

Yes To Grapefruit Dark Spot Correcting Serum - I had been eyeing this product since it first came out but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $20 on a drugstore serum. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked this. The directions indicate that you can use it twice a day (in the morning and night) but it has a slightly unpleasant scent and leaves a little bit of a film, so I only use it at night. I've used it for a couple of weeks and have noticed a significant improvement with my hyper pigmentation. I'm still eager to try Murad's Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum, but this is a great cheaper drugstore solution.

It's Potent Eye Cream, Benefit Cosmetics - I used to love Benefit's Eye-Con. It conditioned my eye area and helped fade dark circles. I was bummed when they discontinued it, but I am pretty sure this is the same product just rebranded. It is of similar consistency and works just as well.

Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, This Works - I don't have a problem sleeping, but was still very intrigued by this product when I saw it on Lily Pebbles Winter Bedtime Routine and I knew that I had to try it. It makes your pillow smell like you are at a spa and just helps me sleep better. The smell also lingers on your pillow.

Peony and Blush Suede Scented Candle, Jo Malone - I am obsessed with this scent. I have had the perfume for a few month before getting the candle for my birthday. I have already burned more than half of it. Not only does it give off an amazing scent, but it burns so clean and even.

City of Angels Nail Polish, Lauren B Beauty - I am in love with this polish. Not only is the milky pink color perfect for spring/summer, but the formula is probably better than any other brand I have used. My nails typically chip after the second day not matter the polish (Essie, OPI, even Chanel) but this lasts for days. I have even used it without a top coat and still managed to get 3-4 days out of it (that is without a top coat!) I am so eager to try a few more colors from their line.

Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray, Tony & Guy - I LOVE big hair. I usually use a texturizing spray regularly to add volume to my hair. When I received this in a recent GlossyBox I was excited to try it, especially since my beloved Oribe Spray is rather pricey. This works almost as well.
Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm, Dior - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this balm! I am always picking up different lip balms since my lips get so darn dry. Everyone raved about this, but I was a little hesitant to spend $30 on a balm. I finally caved and picked one up and am hooked. This will most likely become a holy grail product. It leaves my lips so hydrated and silky.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm - I love a good matte lip color, but more than that, I love lipcolor pencils. These are both in one and I have been using them nonstop. They are so convenient and are pretty pigmented. I have them them in Audacious, Sultry, Elusive, and Showy Flamboyante.

Clarity Pouches, Truffle - These pouches are perfect. I love that they are clear, so you can easily see the content, yet they have a splash of color and are super stylish. I have four in total; No. 1 Clarity (in blush, shown on left), Petite Clarity (in peony, shown on right), Classic Clarity (in cobalt, not shown), and Grand Clarity (in red, not shown). The two smaller ones (shown above) are great to keep the inside of my purse organized while the two larger ones are perfect for traveling. When I traveled last month, I used the Grand Clarity in my carryon to store my wallet, phone, iPad, book and headphones (all my inflight essentials). It fit perfectly in the seat pocket while I stored my carryon up above.

Lock It Weather Control Hairspray, L'Oreal - I am kind of cheating with this. I've only used it twice, so I really can't call it a March favorite, but I felt like it deserved some mention. Tresemme has been my holy grail hair spray for years. I didn't intend on straying from it when this caught my eye at Target. I didn't even need hairspray but was intrigued by the "Weather Control" in the name. Being in New England, we get all the elements. (rain, snow, sleet, humidity) I'm not sure how its going to hold up in extreme weather, but it does hold my curl like nothing I ever used before. (I use a curling iron regularly on my hair to add body. Like I said, I love big hair!)
