DULY NOTED // 10.17

This week was a reminder to myself of a lot of things. Of the incredible support I have from friends and collaborators and fellow creatives. Of the fact that I should really stop waiting until Oct 15th to file taxes. That simple communication can often solve even the most daunting of problems. And, judging by the pile of tinsel I just pulled out of storage for a shoot next week, that the holidays are just around the corner (oy vey).

With the speed at which the days are flying by, the work is piling up, and the fact that I feel like I’m constantly planning life 1-2 months ahead of schedule, this weekend – and hopefully the next couple of weeks – will be about being in the moment a bit more.

1 // A stylish reminder to slow down time? Sure. I’ll take that. Plus I love that slim little burgundy band.

2 // This house tour is making me ready to spend a little time in my own loft this weekend, cozying it up for fall. But now all I can think about is how bad I want that sofa. That color.

3 // My love for Heidi Merrick knows no bounds. She’s one rad gal, and so are her pieces. Her fall lookbook just landed in my inbox, and I’m over the moon for that skirt…

4 // I’ve decided to focus some design efforts on updating the decor our family restaurant, Radici, and this collection at Target might be where I start. Copper shakers and pitchers at the bar? Yes please. While I’m at it, I may steal a few for myself…

5 // Have you heard about this little site called ‘Where I’d Stay‘? I discovered them through a friend recently, and am obsessed with the fact that I can rent a little flat in Paris that features such decor as Hermes wallpaper, or those insane bathroom tiles.

6 // Now that we’re starting to take on design work again, I’m reminded of how dangerous it is to constantly be sourcing for other people. We recently recommended a few of these pillows to one of our clients, and now I’m thinking about how badly I need it to update my own sofa for fall…
