DULY NOTED // 11.14

I don’t know about you, but for me this week holiday was in the air… while part of me feels like it’s way too early to be pinning Christmas inspiration, really Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so I say… ’tis the season! I’m excited to start sharing all the posts we’ve been working on next week – recipes and lots of other fun ideas are coming your way!

But today, I’m sharing with you some links from a few of my friends who deserve some serious recognition, along with a few other favorites…

1 // I’ve been asked many times why I haven’t put out a book yet and I’ll tell you why – that stuff is HARD WORK. So, I’m incredibly proud of my friend Camille Styles and her gorgeous book that is out now!

As far as I’m concerned she’s one of the best entertaining bloggers out there, and one of the most beautiful people I know – inside and out. So you better believe this book is on my gifts to give list this year – a perfect way to support a friend who has brought so much inspiration to our lives, and a lovely hostess gift!

2 // This morning I woke up to sniffles which means only one thing for this weekend – SOUP! I’ve been obsessing over cauliflower soups lately, so I think I’ll give this one a try. If I can muster up the energy…

3 // Speaking of the season… tis the time for prepping guest rooms! I’m loving this one (in fact, the whole house looks so cozy, I could settle in for the winter), and this week I wrote a little guide with tips on prepping your own guest room that you can find right here.

4 // For the past two years I’ve sworn I was going to do a pop-up shop for the holidays. Well, this year I’m finally hosting one here in Seattle, but my bestie, Erin, at Apartment34 has beat me to the online version with a beautiful selection of pieces in her online pop-up shop! Maybe next year I’ll join her in the virtual world. Until then, peruse her curated goodies for some treats like this gorgeous serving board.

5 // Let the gushing continue… another girl on the go is my good friend Katie Armour. You may know her as the co-founder of Matchbook Magazine, and of course blogger at The Neo-Traditionalist. Well, never being one to sit still for long, she’s just launched a new endeavor that I know is close to her heart. Meet Buddy – an online art gallery named for her Grandfather. The idea is to bring art to an accessible level not only with the pieces themselves (limited editions start at only $50) but with tips on collecting and curating.

6 // And finally – on top of wondering what the heck I’m going to put on my table for the holidays, I’m wondering what I’m going to dress myself with! It’s been a while since I’ve updated the fancy side of my wardrobe, and I’m thinking about kicking things off with this clutch. A little rose gold never hurt anyone…
