Through their eyes
Today, I have for you, the kids favorites activities from the little bit of the Lombardy Region that we got to visit... Most specifically Milano and Lago Maggiore. See some favorites from the Italian Riviera
here Here we go...
Hanging around the town of Stresa and its beautiful Promenade
Visiting the islands on Lago Maggiore:
Isola Madre (lots of sketching time and super cute animal spotting)
Isola Pescatore (toes dipping and stone throwing to the lake)
Gondola ride from Stresa to Mottarone and encontering... wait for it... Snow, Ha!
Riding the train system the whole time we were there... Ah what a wonderful (and stress free) way to ride around Italy.
Taking in the beauty of the Duomo, Milano.
From the bottom:
and taking the steps all the way to the rooftop
Window shopping, making fun of the windows and other musings at galleria Vittorio Emmanualle
Visiting utterly fantastic (and free) Sforza castle and its gardens
Visiting La Pieta among other works of art...
Getting the privilege of visiting Leonardo Da Vinci's last supper at the Cenacolo Vinciano, Milano.
Lastly, Renting a (very quirky) apartment from a fabulous Italian couple and being treated to an authentic Milanese dinner on our last night there, oh joy! Great digs you guys! Thanks for everything Federica and Damiano!
God! We loved it there... Italy never disappoints. We could not ask for a more amazing experience...
