Happy Day!
Just came home from a really productive day at work but was stuck in traffic for what it felt like a decade. The rain was really bad and you know, everywhere in this world, the drivers tend to get nervous when driving in the rain. It is as though the rain would melt their cars or something.
Usually, when traffic is this bad and I am in the car alone with NO CELLPHONE, I’d be cursing upside down, inside out, right, left and centre. But for some odd reason, today, my heart was jumping with joy, while I endure the one hour traffic.
The whole time, I was singing along to love songs. I’m talking about NSync, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey. Thank you, Lite FM 105.7 for playing those amazing love songs during peak hours. I was smiling to strangers in the cars next to me. Saw this one guy picking his nose. When he saw me watching him, I waved at him. Haha. Oh and I even made a friend, Little Birdie, who decided to rest on my windshield before she has to return to her nest.
I don’t know why I am in such a good mood. Maybe because it’s Friday. Maybe because tomorrow is pay day. Maybe because it’s going to be a long weekend. Maybe because I wore a top that I bought 5 years ago, for the first time, today. Maybe because I’ve finally understood the meaning of letting go. Maybe because I am in love. Or maybe…..I’m just plain cuckoo! Who knows
