our feature on ruffled last week not only included gorgeous photos from the inspiration shoot but a couple of fun, and super easy {promise} DIY’s. i promised to follow up my last post with another on them so…without further ado.
these are so simple, so delicious, and just so pretty!
cork-top glass bottles {i used these from container store}, good quality olive oil sprigs of rosemary
1 // place 1 sprig of rosemary in each bottle
2 // using a small funnel or measuring cup with a spout to prevent spillage, pour the olive oil into the bottles
3) finish with a thank you tag and the only ribbon that’s in my arsenal these days…frou frou chic!
about 200 wine corks (found here}, unfinished wood letters from AC moore or michaels}, red wine, glue gun, staple gun, twine {or any other ribbon you think may fit your design scheme}
1 // brush about half the corks with wine and leave the other half overnight in about 1/4 – 1/2 inch of wine
2 // glue the corks on the letters with a glue gun and wait a few hours to make sure they’re completely secure
3 // use a staple gun on the back of the letters leaving a little room between the staple the wood
4 // thread the twine through the staples. you can hang on nails on a wall or if you want it to appear like it’s floating {like we did}, simply string a piece of twine across two points and tie each individual letter to it. this also allows you to adjust your spacing. note: if you choose the latter, the sign gets pretty heavy so at least two peeps are needed to hang!
until next time…
