Out With the Old

Along with my personal metamorphosis I have decided to finish my room makeover as well. Thanks to Daffny and some tiny house blogs that got me thinking of the need to purge the unwanted and unused things in your life and keep only what you love.

I started going through my clothing, fall/winter & spring/summer.

Pile on the left is for keeps: fall/winter. Pile on the right is for keeps: spring/summer.

Pile on the right vintage and vint/insp for sale and will be listed on ebay as well as under the Shop My Closet section. I have vintage of all sizes, though most are plus sizes, after all I am curvy gal.

The pile I have for donations was about have the size I had in the 'for keeps' pile. I purged myself of a lot of things I had just for the reason to fill out my closet. It is best to have a small amount of what you love and discard the items you have little connection with.

A hanger for each fall/winter item I got rid of. I feel good about ridding myself of all the unwanted. And I can't wait till I tackle my vanity, or actually turn it into a vanity finally. I'll be sure to document that as well.

My entire spring/summer wardrobe fits into this laundry basket. I actually feel good about that.

Finally the items I couldn't decide on because I bought them and have yet to try them on are tucked away in a carry on bag slipped under my bed.
I'm very happy that I've made this choice to finally finish my room makeover. Because that means come spring it'll be completely finished and I'll be able to show you how the complete pictures. :::crosses my fingers that I can find a pretty blanket so I can put my yellow afghan my Grama made me in my cedar chest:::
