Hello, hello! It’s Friday, y’all! You know what means…it’s time for the STYLE mix!
Oh, and it’s brisk baby! Like sweater weather time here in Northern Illinois. Nothing puts a smile on my face more than opening up that front door and being greeted by fall in the morning!!
…And, good things are brewing over here at B @ H! I can’t wait to share with you in the following weeks…but enough about me…today is more about you!

It has to be the ridiculously good mood I am in brought on by the autumn temps around here!
I sometimes wonder if I had my own radio talk show, would anyone listen to these ramblings? My nonsensical words would fill the minds of some audience comprising of 2 or 3 really bored people with nothing better to do– one being my mother.
Enough of this silliness! Let’s get to the links of week:
Apples are on my mind. To be more exact, all the things I am going to make with all the apples we pick at the orchard this weekend. I spied this French Apple Tart recipe and think I need to make it for the boys.
BTW- I like dressing for occassions. The annual apple orchard trip is a chance to wear something that one would wear while picking apples…or what I think one wears to pick apples. It has to be completely impractical of course. As seen in the next photo…last year I went for Swiss Miss or some sort of milk maid…I think I have my activities confused.
Speaking of dressing for occassions…I have an event next week that I am excited to attend in NYC and I had to get this bright red skirt from Express!
A DIY geometric light fixture is something I want to incorporate into Sam’s room makeover and I really really like this DIY $10 Light Fixture for inspiration.
This pillow tutorial makes me want to stop staring at my sewing machine and actually use it!
I love marble and I love gold and this Ikea VITTSJO bookcase hack has both! It’s fab, you must see it!
So, the hashtag project I started so I could spy into your pretty little homes is going swimmingly. Yep, I said swimmingly. I can at any moment grab my mobile device and look right into your homes without you knowing (insert evil genius laugh here…and here). I can’t help it, I am a born home interior stalker. If your shades are open on your windows at night and I drive by, I WILL slow down to see what the situation is in there. Beware…I could be anywhere. For all you know, I am looking at your home right now on my phone as I type this. (insert evil genius laugh here too)

Okay, so I might have been staring at your kitchen Tanya from Dans le Lakehouse. You caught me!!!! You’re a turquoise goddess. It’s pretty fantastic, don’t you guys agree?
I am totally in love with what Dusty from All Things G D did here! Fall is in the air and I love this little glimpse of her fall decor.
Pam from Simple Details always knocks it out of the park! I love her DIY tortoise vase. Yeah, it’s DIY!
Courtney from A Thoughtful Place is a rock star. She has designing spaces down and I love how she mixed things up in her bedroom. This whole look is so soothing and I just want to curl up in that bed, but that might freak her out! She is way too sweet a person and we are not at that point in our relationship where spooning would be allowed.
Isn’t this pretty? Erin from DIY on the Cheap made her own watercolor art and I love the way she styled it all too!
Last but not least this week, Kathy from Up to Date Interiors shared her nightstand. It is so good! I love the art–all of it…it just works!
