BEAUTY LIST.

If you let me loose in an department store, I would probably get lost in the beauty department for hours over any other section. I don’t really care much about makeup, in fact, I rarely wear any – but I have a weakness for skin/hair products, their packaging, the scents…all of it. It might even be worse than my ring buying habit (this one made its way into my collection this week. Oops…not sorry). Thought that I would share my finely-honed list of beauty goodies with you, because god knows if it exists, I have probably tried it. Here are my tried and true favorites:

DIPTYQUE PHILOSYKOS / My signature perfume. I have worn this for years, and always come back to it because it just smells so damn good! I love fig anything, and this is THE perfect fig scent. It’s also warm, woodsy and intoxicating without being overwhelming. Light enough for the summer, but rich enough for the winter.

TOKYOMILK BULLETPROOF HANDCREME / This was a case of “I love the packaging” and then it quickly became a fixture in my beauty line up because it smells so fantastic and gives you major hydration sans the grease. I also have the body mist, and my boyfriend and I share that, because it’s kind of a unisex fragrance. Really earthy with cedar notes, dark and sexy.

AVEDA BLUE MALVA / I’ve recently started working my way back to super blonde hair, and I have a tendency to get a tinge of the ginge, but this shampoo helps tone down that brassy hue. Plus, it smells really yummy and it’s a cool purpley-blue color.

DAVINES MELU CONDITIONER / Have used this for years and love it. Smells kinda apricot-y, sweet and grassy (clearly, I give a lot of weight to my products having good scents). It really works as far as keeping breakage at bay goes. I like to keep my hair on the longish side, so avoiding splits ends is important.

AVEDA VOLUMIZING TONIC / My hair is a weird combination of being really fine, but I have LOTS of it. Which means that it falls flat a lot. No bueno. I spray this stuff on my roots while my hair is wet (just a bit, it really works!) and then whether I blow dry or air dry, it gives my hair that va-va-voom that all us ladies want. Try it.

AESOP CAMELLIA NUT CREAM / Aesop has awesome products. I tried this after my dog Oliver became a huge fan of their pet shampoo, and I fell in love with the geranium scrub. I can tell my skin is starting to need moisture now that I’m getting into my late twenties, and this product is very moisturizing without being irritating to my SUPER sensitive skin. Now that kind of cream is hard to find!

NUXE REVE DE MIEL LIP BALM / Hands down, my favorite lip balm ever. I’ll admit, it’s a little weird to get used to at first, because it’s an exfoliant and a balm in one. It has little grainy bits mixed in that help keep flaky, cracked lips in check, so you need to rub it into your kisser really well. It keeps your lips ultra moist, plump and tastes kind of like honey and lemons.

Well, I hope you enjoyed that. I had so much fun designing those little icons and getting girl-tastic with this post. I love, love, love designing for the beer industry, but sometimes it’s nice to let that femininity out, ya know? Cheers to being a lady!
