Stylish Storage with Sauder
Hi friends! Today we’re talking about storage. Who couldn’t use more storage? I love baskets and bookcases and cabinets galore. And if it looks good, even better right? We recently ordered a new storage piece from Sauder after doing some shopping online. Have you ever ordered furniture online? We have a few times and the key is to pay attention to sizes and dimensions and it’s best to follow reviews, recommendation and word of mouth. Because not every furniture retailer is equal. And we’re doing just that today, sharing our experience ordering and building our new Stylish Storage with Sauder!
For us, neutral is always best for furniture! That way, no matter how many times a piece changes rooms or functions (and trust me, that happens a lot in our home) it can be incorporated seamlessly. After looking at a ton of storage options on Sauder.com, we settled on this lovely Sauder Harbor View Storage Cabinet.
I love that on Sauder.com you can not only see the piece of furniture, but you can see it staged – how it might look in your home. Also, remember how I said it was key that you understand dimensions when shopping for furniture online? Well Sauder.com not only has dimensions but a whole diagram so you can fully see what you are buying. Make sure you measure the space that you’re shopping for and there will be no surprises here!
The ordering process was SIMPLE. Just a few clicks and it was on its way home. Another tip for ordering online, once you receive the piece, whether or not you’re going to build it right away, be sure to open it ASAP and look it over for missing pieces and defects. You’ll want to notify customer service right away if you have any of these issues, and though we didn’t have to contact Sauder for anything, I heard they’re super easy to work with. That is so very important. After we checked things over we got to work building!
The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Isn’t that nice? I’ve built a lot of furniture in my time, and some instructions are better than others, if you know what I mean.
The piece was also easy to put together. While we did spend a couple of hours getting it all right, I would certainly say it’s appropriate for a beginner level! And the final product was one beautiful, sturdy piece!
Of course we had to test it out right away…I had a little help in that area.
And in the end we’re so excited about the Sauder Harbor View Storage Cabinet and can’t wait to put it to good use!
