Hi friends! I know, I know – we just finished up Halloween, but come on, aren’t you already excited about the countdown to Christmas? We’re getting a jumpstart on things to share with you all the amazing possibilities for your Dream Christmas Tree this year with Michaels Stores! We’ll be decorating our traditional tree at Thanksgiving, which is what our family does every year. But first, I thought it would be fun to show a bit of a non traditional tree, with the kiddos in mind! With alphabet ornaments and fun, bright colors, let’s take a look at our ABC Kids Christmas Tree!
I based the fun and vibrant tree on one of my good friends’ gorgeous playrooms. A big thanks to Becky for letting us takeover her house for a few days this week! The result, we think, is worth it! The kids play room was full of custom and kids artwork, vibrant bins of toys and colorful curtains, rug and furniture.
We kept that theme going with bright and colorful ornaments that we easily customized to our color theme with the help of a little craft paint from Michaels! We’ll share the details of our ornament transformations next week, so stay tuned!
We also topped the adorable tree with a custom DIY Marquee Star Tree Topper! With this bright and colorful tree, not any ‘ol topper would due. We carried the custom theme to the very tippy top with this fun and whimsical star. That DIY will be posted soon, too!
And lastly, we added a cute little bundle of a Burlap Tree Skirt at the bottom, all tied up with a bow! We’ll share how quick and easy is to do that soon – I think it’s my new favorite type of tree skirt!
So what do you think of our fun and interactive ABC Kids Christmas Tree? We’re all giddy and to say the kids were excited is an understatement. I had kiddo supervision while putting the tree together and they were chomping at the bit to spell words with their fun new ornaments! And that’s exactly the point! With the ABC ornaments you could spell names or anything else you’d like! Get the kids involved – it’s their tree!
