My Style // Royal Blue

I can remember a period where my wardrobe was full of neutrals: blacks, browns, grays...those were all the order of any given day. But now, my closet is alive with color and I absolutely love it! The basics are still there, but I can have a lot more fun with pastels and jewel tones--especially in spring and summer. It just feels happier and brighter.
I have found one color combo in particular that I'm kind of obsessed with: royal blue and fuchsia.

I wore this dress with a fuchsia sweater for work one day a few weeks ago--an accidental pairing discovery--and it was like a light bulb moment. I mean, jewel tones? No--they're totally not new. But I haven't ever purposely gone about putting them together in my closet. So I tried it again, this time with a ripped denim jacket to make it a little more casual for a day of blogger workshops and hanging around DC. I love how playful this look ended up being!
