WHAT WE WORE: Red, White, and Sixties

This Independence Day, none of us wore blue. We ate steak instead of hot dogs, didn’t take a dip in the pool, and waved not one flag. But we did take three trips to the hardware store in pursuit of home improvement supplies. Don’t worry, last night we chilled out, grilled out, and today we’re planning on treating ourselves to ice cream (of course) to celebrate our American heritage.

In the meantime, Phil’s been up on the ladder replacing our gutters while I’ve been in the backyard playing with glitter. While I’m quite certain you aren’t interested in seeing our new gutters when he’s finished, I am pretty sure you’ll be very curious about this sparkly project of mine. I can’t wait to share it with you! In the meantime, here are our Mother/Daughter outfits Lucy and I wore to our Tex-Mex dinner with Phil on Sunday.
