#SVFW2014 DAY 1
Last Thursday was the beginning of the Fashion Week Cruise 2014 El Salvador with a super production with the help of sponsoring brands like Absolute Vodka, ADOC, EXPRESS and OPI. On day one, we saw the presentation of collections from several designers like Buster from Charles Barriere, Geraldine Garcia, Josue Quijano, Olivo and Monica Arguedas. I'm probably going to fall short on describing the collections of each designer, as all of them have shown an evolution as designers, something that fills me with immense pride. You can see for yourself through the pictures in this post how amazing each of the collections actually was.
As for my look, for day one I chose to use a beautiful tutu skirt by designer Monica Arguedas, a look which I'm going to talk about in more detail in tomorrow's post, so don't miss it =).

El jueves pasado comenzó el Fashion Week Cruise 2014 de El Salvador con una súper producción de la mano de grandes marcas patrocinadoras como Absolute Vodka, ADOC, EXPRESS y OPI. En el día uno, presentaron sus colecciones los diseñadores Buster de Carlos Barriere, Geraldine Garcia, Josué Quijano, Olivo y Mónica Arguedas. Me voy a quedar chiquita para poder describir las colecciones de cada diseñador, ya que todos han demostrado una evolución como diseñadores, algo que me llena de un inmenso orgullo. Podrán ver ustedes mismos a través de las imágenes de este post lo increíble que fue cada una de las colecciones.
En cuanto a mi look, para el día uno elegí usar una falda de tutu divina de la diseñadora Mónica Arguedas , look del cuál les voy hablar con más detalles en el post de mañana, así que no se lo pierdan =).
BUSTER BY CARLOS BARRIERE
With his collection "La Rosa Blanca", inspired by the peaceful resistance movement that emerged in Germany during the Second World War. It was a pretty geometric collection, typical of the era. We saw clothes in basic black and white with splashes of color, which gave an unexpected twist to the collection. There were pieces for men and women with a certain character and looking to make us wear something different and tasteful. The prints in this collection were exclusive creation of Oscar Velasquez, inspired by the Morse codes used at the time. My favorite piece, no doubt, was the white shirt with black drops.
Con su colección "La Rosa Blanca" , inspirada en los movimientos de resistencia pacífica que surgieron en Alemania durante la segunda guerra mundial, una colección bastante geométrica, típicas de la época. Se propusieron prendas en colores básicos blanco y negro con toques de color, lo que le daba el giro inesperado a su colección. Eran piezas para mujeres y hombres con carácter y que buscaban vestir algo diferente y de buen gusto. Los estampados de esta colección fueron creación exclusiva de Oscar Velásquez, inspirados en las claves Morse usadas en la época. Mi pieza favorita, sin duda, fue la camisa blanca con gotas negras.
GERALDINE GARCIA
She presented her collection "Artificial light" with super spring designs using fabrics with pastel transparencies, proposing very feminine clothes that can be used perfectly in the different stages of the life of a woman. My favorites: pants and waist-high shorts.
Presentó su colección "Artificial light" con diseños súper primaverales usando telas con transparencias en colores pastel, proponiendo prendas muy femeninas que podemos usar perfectamente en las diferentes etapas de la vida de la mujer. Mis favoritos: los pantalones y el short hasta la cintura.
JOSUÉ QUIJANO
He presented his jewelry collection "Natural" imposing design with chunky necklaces in different materials that add a distinctive touch to any look.
Presentó su colección de joyas "Natural" imponiendo diseño con collares grandes en diferentes materiales que dan el toque distintivo a cualquier look.
OLIVO
I was looking forward to this designer's collection. "Surfing the Web" was a collection that I loved from start to finish, with modern clothes for men and ready-to-wear. Using fresh fabrics with fashionable prints, each one of his pieces was perfectly tailored, and it was definitely a high level collection.
Estaba esperando con ansias la colección de este diseñador. "Surfing the Web" fue una colección que me encantó de principio a fin, con prendas para hombres modernos y listas para usar. Usando telas frescas con estampados a la moda, cada una de sus prendas estaba perfectamente confeccionada, y definitivamente fue una colección de alto nivel.
MÓNICA ARGUEDAS
She presented her collection "Heliophilia" with colorful swimsuits and bathrobes, with clothes that highlight the female figure. We saw a wide variety of swimsuits, with fabrics in vibrant colors and pastels. A collection for an ultra chic woman and one for which it was impossible for me to pick my favorite garment because I was absolutely in love with all her designs. The bathrobes were no different, with a metallic trend which definitely stood out. A very different way to dress when going to the beach.
Presentó su colección "Heliophilia" con trajes y salidas de baño llenas de color, con prendas que resaltan la figura femenina. Nos presentó una amplia variedad de trajes de baño, con telas en colores vibrantes y pasteles. Una colección para una mujer ultra chic y de la cuál no puedo elegir mi prenda favorita ya que quedé enamorada absolutamente de todos sus diseños. Las salidas de baño no se quedaron atrás, destacándose en ellos la tendencia metálica, una manera muy diferente para lucir en la playa.
