Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint: Spring Shades

How about this little trio of happiness to brighten up a Monday morning? These are three shades from the latest Spring drop from Cheeky – the sister brand to Cowshed that launched with it’s own ‘Cheeky Parlour’ over in Shoreditch where they do ‘cheeky blows’ (a blow dry…for anyone else with a less than clean imagination) or various nail and make-up treatments. Best thing being the really reasonable price – £15 for a blow dry or even £15 for a ‘works’ manicure is amazing value (£20 for a full works pedicure – I know where I’m going to get my tootsies sandal ready).

In the salon they of course use these Cheeky Chat Me Up nail paints and they can be purchased to take home and touch up (or you can just buy and DIY of course). But when I opened the envelope from these it was a definite ‘wow’ moment with the bright pink especially… not for everyone, but just look at it?! It almost looks like it’s glowing!

Left to right we have:

Disco Fever – chunks of golden glitter, with a rainbow shimmer to them.

Flirt-ini – Neon pink, super-bright – will look amazing in Summer. Almost looks like it’s glowing.

Ice Ice Baby – Cool pastel blue, this is a cool blue but there’s something almost a little bit cornflower about it in some lights. This one is a two-three coater to get totally even coverage (I’m wearing it as I type now) but definitely the most ‘traditional’ pastel for Spring.

The collection of nine new shades for Spring is called Sugar and Spice – and I like this as you look at the shades and they seem a bit random – there are brights, pastels, glitters and darks all in there at the same time – but I like that it’s a mix. It’s basically the idea that ‘cheeky girls’ (the cool ones getting mani’s in Shoreditch…not the Romanian twins of ‘touch my bum’ fame…) can be a bit sweet with the pastels and a bit spicy with the darks and everything in between…no ‘rules’.

The stand out for me is definitely the neon pink – although I do really like the blue too and the glitter is pretty…

You can buy Cheeky from the Cheeky website – and I’ve actually found some shades and products available from Superdrug (some shades – not the latest, are reduced)
