Felder Felder SS 2015 London Fashion Week

So I’m back from getting married and honeymoon with a bang, right into the chaos of London Fashion Week. Well, I probably exaggerate – I mean, I’m no fashion blogger by any means but I do love to cover backstage looks from the shows so where I get the chance to – I jump at it. So on Friday I spent the day doing all sorts of very #LFW type things. Including attending the Felder Felder SS2015 show. I got the chance to go backstage before the show to take a close up peek at the hair, make-up and nail looks being created to compliment the collection – then was very lucky to sit front row (or ‘frow’ to those who can pull off using such a word… not me) to watch the creations in action.

Make-up: Lord & Berry

Lord & Berry were the make-up sponsors for the show and the core to the look was a glowing, dewy base – very ‘just woke up in a field’ type of look. With a bit of a 70′s feel (running through the whole look/collection). Then with a pop of colour added with some pressed pigments – a sunflower yellow called ‘Nour’ for the models with olive toned or brunette colouring and the blue shade ‘Pool’ for those with blonde or paler colouring. These colours appear in the collection so worked perfectly. Mikaela Alleyson - creative director for the brand also used the Lord & Berry Luminizer Stick to create a really glossy/glowy look on the skin.

The look was very relaxed and sort ‘smudged’ on rather than precisely applied. The lips were nude and mascara only worn on top. A coffee eye shade was used to contour the eyes in a way that looked natural but added definition.

Hair: Schwarzkopf

The hair look was created by Schwarzkopf and again created that 70′s relaxed vibe of the whole collection. The Happy Hour volume powder spray was used to add some ‘oomph’ at the back of the head – again complimenting that ‘woke up in a field’ sort of feel. The models were asked to arrive with clean hair that they then added product to create a sort of ‘is it product, or is it a day old’ sort of feel to it. The back of the hair was gently backcombed to add some more lift then the front left loose and natural – the overall effect being very pretty/natural/relaxed. One of the most obtainable looks from Fashion Week for sure – very easy to do, with accessible products to recreate the look. I am loving the 70′s style inspiration.

The Nails: Nailberry

The nails were created with a nude shade from the brand Nailberry – a lovely brand that doesn’t seem to have quite the amount of attention it maybe deserves! It’s a very trend-led collection, with new shades coming out every season. Plus the bottles are very pretty…always a selling point for me!

Felder Felder SS 2015

Ok, so as I said – I am no serious fashion blogger so I’m not going to pretend to be all analytical of the collection. But I can say this is one of the first times I’ve been at a London Fashion Week show and genuinely wanted to go out and buy a number of the items on the catwalk – the gorgeous turquoise print, flowy fabric and girly silhouette is a lovely combination. There was also a glistening gold dress that was the finale look and it was absolutely gorgeous – an ultimate party number. Can totally see lots of celeb-types like Laura Whitmore and Millie Mackintosh (both of whom were at the show) wearing these pieces and looking stunning. I also love that the floaty dresses were paired with chunky cowboy boots. The overall show really made me think of Jenny from Forrest Gump… (see why I’m no fashion blogger now…)!

I was a guest of Schwarzkopf at Felder Felder SS 2015.
