Moments of the Week:

With nearly every situation or person I meet, my brain tends to split in half: One half - the appropriate words I say out loud The other half - my bubble thoughts (also known as the words I think in my head but don’t say out loud) My bubble thoughts are what keep me entertained all day long. So I thought I would share a few of them from this week. And yeah…I do understand this could be a mistake. Situation 1: A parent came by my office today to ask me a few questions. As he talked with me, he would take occasional bites from the Slim Jim he held in his hand. He’s talking and chewing away…until suddenly he stops. He apparently had this moment of realization that he might be acting rude… Dad: as he pulls a second Slim Jim from his back pocket(which is totally weird) “Do you want one?” What I say: “Oh you are too kind…no I’m okay. But thank you.” Bubble Thought 1: Hehe…he just offered me his meat stick. Situation 2: Two 4th grade girls are fighting. I’m called into the assistant principals office to help with the situation. Me: “You said she called you a bad name. What did she call you?” Girl: “She called me a slut witch.” What I say: “Oh…I see…” Bubble Thought: “Yes! That is awesome! I am totally going to use that later.” Situation 3: The principal of one of my schools comes in my office to tell me some news: Principal: “We have to make some changes in office spaces for next year. Unfortunately, we need to move your office into the closet space of one of our kindergarten classrooms.” What I say: “Huh…” Bubble Thought: “I feel badly for whoever is the psychologist here next year.” Bubble Thought 2: “Cause no one puts baby in a closet!” I want to tell you thank you all so much for always being so open and awesome to my more personal/deep thought type of posts. I really appreciated all of your comments to my post this Wednesday…just goes to show how we women can lift each other up
