Most Embarrassing Moment in Recent History

“Um, Marion? What is that you’re holding?”

Oh, I’m glad you asked! Well, kinda glad you asked. These are my panties (side note: does anyone else think the word “panties” is kinda gross? I just said the word out loud as I typed and it totally made me giggle yet also feel slightly yucky). ANYWAY…so yeah. These are my panties. Underwear. Drawers.

“Ok, great. Why are you holding them in your car?”

Oh yeah…well…so here is what happened:

I am at Costco stocking up on enough chicken for the apocalypse and I finally make my way to the front of the check-out line. As I’m loading up a second mortgage amount in product onto the belt, I realize, “Oh golly! They need my Costco card right away before they start ringing things up!” So I quickly open up my bag pull out my wallet grab my Costco Card and place it on the belt and go back to loading items.

Annnnnndddddd then it happened: “The Most Embarrassing Moment in Recent History”

“Excuse me? I think this fell out of your bag?”

I turn around and see a gentleman of about 40 years old clutching a small black shiny piece of fabric. I am instantly confused.

“Huh?” is all I can muster.

“Yeah…this fell from your bag when you just opened it” he replied and reaches the black item out to me. I respond by reaching out and taking it. Instant horror follows as I realize what the golly he was handing me.

“Thank you” I say (because I am always polite…even in the face of horror) and I turn around. I get the heck out of Costco go to my car unload Cooper and the 2nd mortgage payment of items finally sit down and look at what he gave me.

The only thing I can think of is Cooper likes to go through my underwear drawer and maybe he put them in my bag? I just don’t know. But one thing I DO know – the gentleman didn’t really seem all that shocked. And for the first time, I was kinda glad I live in Las Vegas.:)

Penny Moment

Hey guys! So Penny (our 1-year old adopted puppy) seems to think this pair of shoes should be an open-toe style. Oh, and no ankle strap either.

What do YOU think?

Cuteness Moment

As punishment for performing unapproved shoe alterations, I made Penny wear a Christmas sweater all day.

But it kinda worked out because it made this moment I walked into so much cuter (these guys are total best friends and they like to watch the garbage truck come. I don’t think we’ve missed a single episode).

Husband Closet Moment

This is my husband’s side of the closet. I walked into this apparent “dance of the hangers” the other day and I just had to take a photo.

– No, I did not arrange a single hanger.

– Yes, I abhor wire hangers but my husband says they are free from the dry cleaner lady so he is a believer. Ugh.

Here is another viewpoint just to share perspective. It’s almost sculptural.

By the way, I’ve shared my husband’s issue with the clothes hamper before…it’s almost endearing in a way

Pretty Cool Moment

I shared this message on my Fitness Facebook page but it is worthy sharing here because it was a pretty neat moment for me.

The sun is barely up and I just had to go sit outside and catch my breath because I just read the weirdest email. Honestly? I’m kinda in shock. There are over 225,000 coaches. And apparently I am now in the top 1,000 in the entire company (#902 to be exact). That may not seem like much to most, but it kinda makes me…well…feel overwhelmed. Grateful. Tongue-tied.

So these goosebumps are partly because I am in shock and partly due to the chilly morning air. Either way…these are the best goosebumps I’ve had in a while.
Thank you for YOUR support in helping me get “here.”

A MESSAGE

Dear you,

So in my last post, several of you commented that you aren’t seeing the same production consistency with style posts as I have traditionally shared on this blog. So I thought I would address it as I’m sure many others share those sentiments.

Quite honestly, I started this blog because I wanted a place to be truly authentic and connect with women who were inspired by fashion (among other related topics). This blog is now 3 years old and it has changed as I have changed. I suppose you could say that this blog is a true mirror reflection of my frame of mind and style at various points in my life.

I have rarely taken a break from blogging in those 3 years and I actually think I unwittingly took a little break these last 2 weeks. I mean, I still posted but did not do style photos. I won’t get into reasons because…well…that is boring.

SO JUST KNOW THIS: I am and always will be obsessed with this blog style. I love mixing up investment pieces with affordable finds and sharing my ideas in hopes they inspire even just one person. I love reading your comments feedback and even appreciate your criticism. Why? Because that is a form of connection and that touches down to the main reason I clicked “publish” on my 1st blog post way-back-when.

So thank you for reading commenting know that I appreciate you.

xo – Marion
