Mix and Match: Peasant Top and Colored Shorts

I told you a couple of weeks ago that I loved this gold chevron peasant top, so here's a Mix & Match feature with it for ya. Peasant tops are kind of a thing right now, and this gold detailing keeps the top interesting but is subtle enough that you can work it into a bunch of outfits.
I also really recommend a pair of colored shorts for the summer. Target has a 5" (shown in this post) and a 3" pair of shorts that come in a TON of different summery colors like coral, light blue, yellow, red, this green, and a bunch of neutrals. I really miss my coral shorts right now!

Outfit 1 Don't you love a great trouser jean? This is a perfect complement to the boho feel of the peasant top. I included a large crossbody (is much larger than appears in this collage) and an open-toe wedge to maintain the boho vibe. I added a peachy coral accessory for a pop of color, but you could really add ANY color to this very neutral palette.
(I'm not huge on bracelets, UNLESS they are elastic like this one. The elastic helps the bracelets stay in place, whereas bangles, especially metal bangles, clink around all day making noise and sliding up and down my wrists.)

Outfit 2 The green shorts add a fun pop to the neutral peasant top. I brought out the gold in the top with gold accents in the necklace, earrings, and the shoes! How cute is this pair of glitter sandals? Looooove!
Great outfit for errands or a casual summer date.

Outfit 3 I couldn't help but bring back the navy polka dot top from last week's post. It's too versatile to not use it again! While last week I showed an outfits for going out or work and one for a summer party with this top, here's one that's beachy casual. I love it with green shorts! I added a yellow tote to complete the summer look. Plus, yellow and green look great together. ;)
