An Evening with Shan in East Hampton

Last week, I had the chance to spend the day out in East Hampton. As a New Yorker, you would think I went out east from time to time, but the truth is, it was the first time I was there all summer. As soon as I stepped out of the car, I immediately felt like I was in a different world (in the best possible way) rather than a 2.5 drive away. I was there to celebrate the grand opening of SHAN, a Canadian company whose speciality is the creation and design of high-end couture swimwear, ready-to-wear clothing and accessories for men and women.

I first discovered the brand several months ago, when I was in Miami, bikini shopping with my friends. I already knew they had some incredible swimwear, but last week, I got to learn a little more about the brand and what they're really known for, which is superior quality, innovation, technique and luxury. Aside from having the most beautiful prints (and classic solids, of course), the pieces are infused with Lycra Extra-Life fiber, which is what really allow the pieces to maintain their original fit through everything we put our swimwear through: sunscreen, salt water, chlorine, oxidation and worst of all, sagging (is there anything worse than a saggy bathing suit butt?). They're truly pieces that will last you, season after season.

I went home with a SHAN bikini of my own and excited to wear it to the beach this weekend!
