Lego Party Ideas: Lego Head Jar

If you love LEGOs, then you’ll love today’s post! I’m continuing with my Lego party ideas and sharing how we made LEGO head jars, to use as decor and snack holders at Carter’s LEGO birthday party. They are so cute, you may just use them around your home!

We threw a Lego movie party for my 6-year-old this year, and my mom went a little crazy with the decorations and party supplies! We had fun activities like Lego Car Racing, and awesome “extras” like the Lego Hand Sanitizer! But one of my favorite things she made were these Lego Head Jars! They looked so adorable on the tables and, bonus, they held snacks for the kids!

Lego Head Jar

All you need is a jar, preferably plastic, that somewhat resembles a Lego head, some yellow spray paint, and some black construction paper. If you’d like, you can put some flower foam into the jar, to be able to stick in things like lollipops and have them stand up in the jar.

We found our jars at Target. They have several different varieties, so hopefully you’ll find a snack mix that you’ll eat before you make your Lego head!

Step 1: Remove the label from the jar, spray paint the whole thing yellow, and let it dry.

Step 2: Cut out face shapes from black construction paper and glue them on.

Step 3: Add the flower foam (optional), and fill the jar with your favorite snacks, potpourri, or whatever else you can think of!

Here’s our final product. We put one on each of the party tables where the kids sat and ate.

There you go- a quick and simple craft, and an adorable jar you can keep and use for years! In fact, after the party, you could use it for storing all of your Legos!
