REVIEW & SWATCHES: Clinique "Cheek Pop" Blushes

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share Clinique's new Cheek Pop blush in 4 universally beautiful shades. When I first saw these blushes I was immediately smitten with the adorable gerber daisy-embossed powder showcased through an attractive, clear compact. As an admittedly hopeless blush addict, you know I was all glossy-eyed and drooling like a kid in a candy store. Yum, yum, yum!

03 Berry Pop

For some reason, I had this feeling that the blushes would feel overly hard (like flashbacks of my old MAC Blush of Youth beauty powder) but actually, they were rather easy to swatch without veering into Wet n Wild-esque eyeshadow fallout territory. Not too soft, not too hard, just a nice middle-ground with a flush at one application and buildable opacity. No signs of chalkiness at all!

I wanted to include 2 full sets of swatches since you can see the distinction between colors better in the first one (shade), while in the second (direct light) you can see the luminosity of the colors. This "glow" gives an effect that the blush is your natural flush versus a powder sitting on top of the skin.

Here I was wearing 03 Berry Pop and it gave a very pigmented, raspberry flush to my cheeks that played nicely off of my red MAC Riri Woo lipstick and the blush stayed on for about 8 hours without fading. I will say that this particular shade was very bold on my skintone so it would be awesome on those with tan or deeper skin while paler girls will need to use a light hand or choose 04 Plum Pop as a more user-friendly alternative.

Overall, I'm really loving everything about these blushes from the packaging to the shades and formula. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into this new product and I can definitely see these being my favorite go-to blushes this spring. Loved these the minute I saw them and I'm very happy to report that they are living up to every inch of my hopes for them!

Clinique Cheek Pop blushes are available for $21 at Clinique counters and online including Nordstrom, Sephora, Macy's, and Clinique.com.
