Essie Fall 2014 Dress To Kilt Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a good weekend, mine was pretty chill. It was so humid and hot that I didn't really leave the house, we usually don't have humid weather here so when we do I try not to go out in it. I'm not a big fan of humidity :p

Today I have the Essie Fall 2014 Dress To Kilt Collection to share with you. I went to my local nail supply store the other day in search of China Glaze's Fall Collection but they didn't have it...the owner was like oh but we have Essie's Fall Collection. I was like oh really?!? Then bought them all...I hadn't even seen any promo for these and had no idea they would be at my nail supply so it was a nice surprise! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Dress To Kilt is a red creme. The formula was really nice, it was a good consistency and the opacity was great. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Fall In Line is a dusty green creme. This is a very camo-esq shade, I'm always a fan of dusty greens like this! The formula was good, it was a little thick but in a good way that I found easy to work with. The opacity was great, it was nearly a 1 coater! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Partner In Crime is a rich dark brown creme. Essie always does really beautiful dark browns so I was excited to see this in the collection, brown polishes are among my favorites. The formula was fantastic, it was a great consistency and the opacity was great! I used 1 coat for the photos below.

Style Cartel is a dark blue creme. This was the one that caught my eye in the bottle, it ended up being a little darker on the nail than I expected but I'm a fan nonetheless. The formula was good, a little thick but easy to apply. It was a touch patchy on the first coat but the second coat evened everything out. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Take It Outside is a taupe/grey/beige neutral. I never really know how to describe shades like this haha! The formula was great, it went on really easily and the opacity was fantastic. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Perfect Cover Up is a deep green toned teal creme. The formula was good, a little thick but in a good way! The opacity was again, fantastic...a 1 coater!

Overall I really love this collection, the color palette is perfect for Fall and the formulas were all really great and easy to work with. I love that 2 of them were 1 coaters for me, polishes like that are what I grab for to use under glitters.

I don't know when these will be hitting shelves at places like Ulta but I'm guessing sometime this month. Essie typically retails for $8 but it can vary depending on where you buy!
