6 items for effortless dressing

We all have those days when we really cannot be bothered to get dressed and look our best.I fawn constantly over street style images that have that effortlessly cool vibe but can never quite capture it so well. It's hard to really pinpoint what that elusive "cool" factor is and how people do it. I always think some girls have it, some of us don't. So for us mere mortals who aren't blessed in the style stakes here are a few of my carefully considered, tried and tested ways of looking cool all while putting in the minimal amount of effort. Because that's the key to being cool right? Not caring too much?

A Slouchy Jumper
I love pairing a big oversized sweater with a pair of jeans or a mini skirt for an instant off duty cool look. Adding a fedora and some comfy boots ups the style stakes with the minimal amount of thought!

The Slogan Tee
Keeping a slogan tee in your wardrobe is a must. Something snappy, witty and exactly what you need it to say without actually saying it. A band tee is also an easy way to add the cool factor to a look. Pair it with a pair of ripped black jeans and a plaid shirt with some skate shoes for a simple effortless look.

Arm Candy
A good arm candy line up is something that will never go out of style. Mix and match your favourite bracelets, watches and chains to create a street style snap worthy line up.

Eyecatching Statement Jacket
I often say when in doubt put on a jazzy jacket. You could choose something embroidered, bright, patterned, high end or vintage. Just keep it eye catching and interesting. Make sure to keep the rest of the outfit simple and dressed down will add to the impact from a jacket.

Classic Trench Coat The classic Burberry trench is a must in any self confessed fashionista's wardrobe. However, unfortunately we can't all afford that. An absolutely timeless piece. A neutral coloured trench is a passport to instant chic, so it's worth looking for something affordable.

Fedora Perfect for covering bad hair days, all the while adding extra style points.
