Take 10: River Island

I’ll be back with another Amsterdam-flavoured post soon, but this post is all about my new cosy knit, as this month our Take 10 challenge was to style up a piece from River Island’s knitwear collection. This might not seem like the smartest choice given we’re in December and it’s more or less is-it-snowing-yet weather, but I just loved the eyelash knit on this sleeveless top! It’s something I know I can layer up with a shirt underneath and wear through to spring. And because I tend to go pretty simple when it comes to colours at the moment, I knew teaming the white and grey with my new (sale bargain) purchase in the shape of these orange velvet platforms would make for just the right balance… well at least I think so! There’s nothing like letting the shoes do all the talking- I’m most definitely a sucker for a pretty pair of shoes over bags and jewellery any day! x
