Infused Vodka ~ Pineapple Basil


Steve and I picked up a book this past winter on infusing liquor and have been so excited to try some of the recipes. But first we needed some tight sealing jars, which we finally found at Marshal's. Then we finally decided on a recipe. We chose the pineapple basil infusion thinking that by the time it's ready it will be perfect for summer.
The recipe calls for: 1 Pineapple 6/7 Basil Leaves 750ml Vodka Peel and chop the pineapple and place in the bottom of the jar. Then add the basil leave and pour vodka over the ingredients. Seal jar and store in a cool dark place for 30 days.
After the thirty days strain out the liquid into a new sealable jar and added simple syrup if needed. I can't wait to try a screwdriver or a pina colada with this infusion. Our next one will be cherry whiskey. ~Cassi
