ByAlegory Eyeshadow Organizers

After I completely fell head over heels for the ByAlegory Lipstick Organizers (click here for my review), I jumped to buy the ByAlegory Eyeshadow Organizers ($17.99 each) when they launched last week. I was so happy that shipping was just a few days, as soon as they arrived I began an impromptu shadow reorganization project. Usually, the top four drawers of my Ikea Alex nine drawer unit are filled with my eyeshadow and palette collection, sorted by color. I have been using some clear plastic trays that I found at Bed Bath and Beyond, where I would simply lay down all my shadows so I can open my drawer and quickly see all my colors. I was hoping the ByAlegory Eyeshadow Organizers would just make my collection look neater than everything laying on top of each other. I found that the ByAlegory trays had smaller wells than I was expecting, only a portion of my eyeshadow collection can fit inside the organizers. Each organizer fits 16 shadows, which would be ideal if I had all MAC shadows or a one brand collection. As a beauty blogger with a variety of eye shadows, I wasn't able to keep my collection sorted by color and I wasn't able to fit most of my shadows into the organizers. Sadly, these pretty trays just don't fit my collection and organization style. I was really wanting to do a rave review, but instead I'll use this post to show what types of shadows do and don't fit in the trays to hopefully help you make your decision on if you need these or not ;)
