ELF Holiday Perfect Eyes Collection - Review & Swatches
Today I have the ELF Essential Holiday Perfect Eyes Collection, $5.00, to review, with a few eye looks I put together to show some versatility with the eyeshadow palette - which is the main reason why I bought this set. Along with the 9 shadow palette, the set includes the Brightening Eyeliner in Black, best for lining the eyes on the lid, and the Lengthening and Defining Mascara, which is a good basic mascara for enhancing the length of your natural lashes.
The eyeshadow palette is the highlight to this set, mainly because it is a new product that ELF has put out and it is full of neutral goodness, plus two matte shades to compliment any look. Here I have swatched each shade without primer, these swatches are built up with 2-3 swipes, but you can easily tone them down to your liking. The darkest brown is matte and the lightest cream is matte, every other shade has a shimmer finish. The light pink is sort of a satin but it is very sheer, works as a good base color to work on top of, and the light gold is a sheer sparkle, great as an effect topper for your eye look.
Here is a very simple and classic look using mainly the matte shades, and a couple of the shimmer shades for some highlighting and subtle touch of glam or color. This look can go with any lip or blush color, a very universal style.
Here is the same look but with a darker crease and that sheer gold shimmer on the lid for a fun glimmering look, very party-friendly for daytime or nighttime, paired with the winged liner, it still has that classic style. This look can pair with any lip color as well.
Here is a bold smokey look using the darkest shades and a rich amount of the golden copper shimmer on the lower lash line as a pop of color and glitz. With a bold winged liner, this look pulls more edgy, but if you throw on some fabulous false lashes, you can pull it off as glamorous depending on the lip color you pair with.
