  1. I’m participating in Heather’s #MoveHappy challenge! It’s a challenge to workout and move your body in ways that truly make you happy during the month of December. I’m all about making things fun in the fitness area, especially during a more crazy time of year.   2. Workout 1: Physique 57 DVD. It had been awhile since doing one of these. I could tell by the way my booty was screaming at me!
  3. Workout 2: Best Body Bootcamp Circuit Intervals. They are just so FUN! I also received a GymBoss interval timer to review and try out. It made the intervals way easier to track and time.
  4. Workout 3: Yoga. You shouldn’t be surprised. Managed to fit in a couple of classes so far this week and have quite a bit more coming up for this weekend (see Fun Facts below).
  5. Workout 4: Hour treadmill session. Something got into me the other morning where I just craved a steady, long but low-key workout. I hopped on the treadmill for an hour of walking. I mixed up the pace and intervals throughout, but nothing all that specific. Followed up with foam rolling and a protein shake!

FIVE FUN FACTS

  1. As alluded to above, I’ll be doing a LOT of yoga this weekend. Like, two full days worth. My yoga studio is offering up 3 weekends of “trial teacher training”. And I signed up. The first one is this weekend. I’m SO excited. I’m doing it to get a taste of what the teacher training program is like, but I’m using these weekends more to deepen my understanding of alignment of postures. I’m a book nerd when it comes to learning about the body and fitness type of stuff.

  3. Tonight is the last meeting for the year of the women’s small group I help host. I’m going to miss my ladies for the next month! I can’t even begin to describe how therapeutic a women’s Bible study and prayer group can be.
  4. And along those lines, I got to witness that power this week. On Tuesday night, my friend put together a prayer gathering at her church for her daughter. It was incredibly powerful to see so many come together in love and support and to feel God at work in that space. Just. Wow.
  5. I’m almost out of coffee. That means it’s time to buy bags of the holiday Dunkin Donuts flavors!! YES! Anyone else look forward to a special coffee flavor this time of year?
