Wine Sampling & A Trip Aboard the Shotover Jet: William and Kate's Afternoon in Queenstown
Following a busy morning of engagements in Dunedin, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a flight to Queenstown for two afternoon events.
For their first engagement, William and Kate had the opportunity to experience one of New Zealand's greatest exports: wine. Queenstown is in the heart of the Central Otago region, very much an-up-and-coming area in terms of wine production.
The couple visited the Amisfield Vineyard, where they sampled some local wines and food.
Amisfield was established in 1988 and is a specialist producer of Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines created from fruit grown on their estate beneath the Pisa mountain range in the Cromwell Basin. Amisfield wines strongly reflect the company's grape growing and wine making philosophy.

A royal baby story has circulated in the press over the past number of hours (and no we're not talking about Prince George). During a walkabout in the town of Cambridge yesterday, Prince William greeted well-wishers including Briton Cynthia Read who was commissioned by the New Zealand government to make a merino wool shawl for Prince George. William thanked her and said, "you might have to make another one soon". Since then it has transpired William most likely said, "you might have to make another one sometime".
The pregnancy rumour mill went into overdrive, however, photos of Kate sampling wine should quash any credence to that.
Hannah Armstrong from Mudhouse wines was at the event and shared the following quote:
'Kate said she hadn't drunk whilst pregnant with George and although she doesn't drink much she was really enjoying the odd glass. Kate took a small sip before handing the glass to William's private secretary Miguel Head telling him to "enjoy it".
Kate said her husband was the wine expert and she always followed his advice - and that he was normally right. They were also saying how much fun George had at his playdate. I asked if he had been out much but they said he hadn't because of the bad weather.'
Afterwards, William and Kate headed over to the Shotover river to experience the Shotover Jet, a 50 mph white-water ride through its canyons.
New Zealand is renowned for adrenaline sports, and is known for introducing bungee jumping to the world. The couple were joined by young people working in the tourism sector.

For Kate's third outfit of the day, she sported her navy blue Zara Double Breasted Jacket.

The Duchess wore the GAP Fitted Boyfriend Gingham Shirt. It's a very versatile and wearable piece. We know Kate was spotted at GAP just before the royal tour; it's quite likely this is one of the pieces she purchased during her trip.

Kate completed the look with skinny jeans, her Ray Ban wayfarers and changed into her Mint Velvet plimsolls for the jet boat ride.

- William and Kate will travel to Christchurch and enjoy a formal welcome by Ngai Tahu in the community's city centre.
- They will see some of the progress and rebuilding that has taken place since the devastating earthquake in 2011. The royals will take part in a ceremony remembering those who lost their lives in the earthquake.
- Participate in an event to mark the Cricket World Cup coming to Christchurch in 2015.
- Travel to Wigram Air Force Museum and enjoy a business lunch hosted at museum, hosted by Christchurch Chamber of Commerce.
- They will see the Memorial Wall, dedicated to Royal Air Force members who died whilst serving their countries.
