Messy Hair, Don't Care

Happy Monday Lovelies!
How's about some messy hair inspiration for a Monday?
Lately I've been craving messier, sexy hair styles which have that ultra cool, effortless vibe, i.e not looking like you've been dragged through a hedge backwards!
In the past, I've kind of been a neat freak when it comes to my hair. Recently however, my inner hair goddess has been bursting to get out - I blame Pinterest for this sudden rush of messy.
Perfect for giving that extra bit of sass this spring/summer, I've pulled together my top 5 messy hair styles I want to try out...

The Messy Bun...

I love wearing my hair in a bun in the summer, but up to now it has always been a fairly tidy affair (e.g here)...would love to be able to re-create this look. My thoughts....it's all in the pinning, keeping it loose & leaving lots of errant strands.
The Messy Pony...

Surely, this I can manage, I say to myself! It's probably my best starting point to get used to wearing my hair messy. Back comb at the ready...

The Messy Side Braid...

My recent attempt at a messy side braid (here) demonstrates how fine my hair is, and there lies my problem trying to emulate this look. It's most probably the hardest one for me to get the desired results. I'd love to be able to have that chunky, wide, loose braid. Even, adding dry shampoo & back combing I still struggle...but I'll keep trying!

Messy French Twist...

For me, this look is perfect for summer & one of my favourites to attempt - it's messy, sexy yet still has an air of sophistication. There's a picture tutorial that comes with this shot, so fingers crossed I'll be able to follow.

Beachy Waves...

If you read this post, you'll already know I can create beachy waves with the Bumble & Bumble surf spray. Trouble is, up to now I only tend to use it on holiday. This summer I aim to give my hair a liberal spray & let it set dry in the sunshine to create that just walked off the beach hair.
You can find all my hair & beauty inspiration on my Pinterest boards. I'll hopefully be able to show you some of the results in my outfit posts, so keep an eye out!

Wishing you all a fabulous week Lovelies
