TRAVEL | London calling

It’s easy to forget what an amazing place London is when you’re sitting in rush hour traffic or crammed between hundreds of people on a tube. While the daily grind can easily become routine, there’s nothing like seeing the city through a fresh pair of eyes. Entertaining visitors from other countries is one of the best ways to break out of the everyday and embrace the extraordinary. For anyone looking to dazzle some out of town guests, here are a few of the city’s best attractions.

At Ripley’s Believe it or Not!, visitors can behold some of the magnificent marvels collected by legendary explorer Robert Ripley. The weird and the wonderful is celebrated at Ripley’s London. The collections of this astonishing attraction feature artefacts from around the world which are displayed in over 700 incredible exhibits, galleries and interactive experiences spanning six floors!

Then there’s Hyde Park, one of the most famous green spaces in all of London. This is a serene place in the centre of a bustling city. From the Serpentine water feature to the gates of Kensington Palace, visitors can pack a posh picnic, swim in a local lido or paddle boats among the swans for an idyllic experience. Whether you’re crossing the park to get through town or it’s your final destination, this gorgeous green space is well worth taking the time to enjoy.

Quickly becoming one of the city’s premier attractions, the London Eye is a spectacle of dazzling proportions. Perfectly perched on the city’s South Bank, the Eye takes visitors high above the city for views of the Thames winding its way through London as Big Ben marks the always reliable Greenwich Mean Time just across the river. While it may not be known for its staggering skyline, the view from the London Eye is sure to impress.

Every year London is flooded with visitors from around the world. While the city is welcoming and certainly has plenty to offer those who stop by, there’s nothing quite like experiencing it with a local, and for locals, to experience it as a tourist!
