An Apulian Wedding Just For Two

You all know that we love big weddings as much as we do intimate ones, but to come across an affair where the couple gets eloped in style is just something that really makes our hearts skip a beat!

Grant and Annelise are a couple that came all the way from Panama to tie the knot in Italy. We give Anna Calzolaio of In the Mood 4 Love a huge two-thumbs up for doing such a wonderful job of making their wedding as personal and pretty as can be!

The bride on choosing the location and wedding coordinator: “With the logistical challenges of having family and friends on different continents we decided to elope to a neutral continent and get married without all the usual bells and whistles of an ordinary wedding and just have the 2 of us present (no guests). We both love Italy so choosing the country was an easy one for us. We googled weddings in Italy and narrowed it down to Puglia as a possible destination. We then googled wedding planners in Puglia and the first site that we opened was In the Mood 4 Love where we first made contact with Anna Calzolaio – a God send and an answer to our prayers.”

On decorations: “Anna had subtly decorated the church with flowers, candles and fresh petals and leaves, it was perfect and exactly what we had asked her for.”

“Anna planned everything for us. We flew into Rome, rented a car and drove to Martina Franca via Matera. Anna booked B&B’s along the way, planned tours and made recommendations of places of interest. It was the romantic road trip of a lifetime and one that we will never forget.

The day before the wedding, Anna planned a wine tasting/picnic with a personal musician, waiter and wine steward – we felt like royalty having all this personalized attention. Apulia is the most perfect destination for a romantic and rejuvenating get away – we are already planning our next trip!”

“For the reception, Anna planned a special dinner for 2 with our own personal chef, wine steward and musical duo.” Can you spell romantic?!
