A Lakeside Wedding in Madrid

Set against the tallest of trees and enveloped by the most unruffled lake we’ve ever seen, this wedding that you’re about to see is as charming as it gets! You might recognize Dani and Nati from their engagement session in Navarre, also captured by the talented Marcos Sanchez.

They actually wanted to celebrate their wedding there, but due to logistical reasons, they had to find something closer to Madrid. The couple decided on a lakeside venue and incorporated lots of sweet and natural elements into their celebration. We hope you enjoy this international and DIY-filled affair as much as we did!

A tip from the bride regarding finding your venue: “I think there are a lot of interesting places out there, you just have to look for something personal. We like nature so that was what we were looking for. It does not matter if you get a wedding planner to help or if you do it yourself, in the end the most important is to have very clear what is that you want and make your wedding yours.

From the bride: “We had lots of handmade things in our wedding. We made the invitations, packaged the favours, we made our own bounty flags, we even made some doughnuts and cupcakes for the cocktail.”

“We personally decided for the Sheraton Sta. Maria Paular. It was nice, the building is part of an old monastery and the forest with the lake is beautiful!”
