Welcoming March with a little bit of glitz! It's no secret that I love my glitter, sequins and metallics, but making a really shiny outfit work outside of party season can be tricky. Have I pulled this one off? I'll let you be the judge! When I first saw this pink sequin set on Lashes of London's Facebook page, I fell in love. The silhouette scared me slightly -anything body hugging does- but for the sake of so much shiny pink prettiness, I decided to risk it and give it a try. I know I'm by no means large, but I always worry that I'm a bit too squishy to pull off anything figure flaunting. There's a little more midriff on display than I'd usually like, but I think that's down to me being a fairly tall lady more than anything else! Aside from that, I love how true to size Lashes' clothes are. There aren't many companies I'd feel comfortable ordering something so form fitting from, however everything I've ever ordered from them has been the perfect size, so I trusted them completely. Sometimes they're a little short on us taller ladies, but in this case the 3/4 sleeves and modest pencil skirt balance things out.
I kept my accessories simple; some velvet mid heels from ASOS with an embellished heel, my H&M cat bag, and some delicate rose gold jewellery Lola and Grace popped over as a Valentines gift - the cuties! A splash of red lipstick and I was good to go. Next time I'm off on a night out or invited to a party, I know what I'll be wearing! Even if I do look a little like a human glitter ball...
Tomorrow my amazing husband Grant is running the Bath Half Marathon, and he's raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. He's been preparing for quite some time now, and I'm honestly so proud of him. It's a great cause, so if you have a few pounds spare any donations would be truly appreciated.
