City Romance.

Every now and again I have to remind myself to look around and appreciate the beautiful city I live in. Bath is a truly magical place, full of history and culture and gorgeous architecture, and I'm guilty of forgetting that from time to time. Last night Grant and I headed back to Cornwall to spend the bank holiday weekend with family, so we spent the afternoon pottering around the city before we left, running a few errands, dipping in and out of shops, and generally taking everything in. It was unexpectedly refreshing.
I wore this amazing, dramatic skirt from Topshop that I bought myself for Christmas Day last year. It's a piece I'm always reluctant to wear because I feel like I should save it for special occasions, but then I also want to make the most of it whilst midi skirts are having their moment in the sun. This outfit is nothing groundbreaking -a colourful midi skirt with a striped tee shirt is a fail-safe combination- but it's something I felt incredibly comfortable in. It's so easy to wear, and I felt just dressy enough for a grey day in the city.
