Auditioning for PR. Third time’s the charm?

Hi everyone!

I have been a little MIA lately.

I’ve been soooo busy working on the play, my camera USB port broke so I can’t upload anything until I buy a card reader , and to top it off my eleven year old bought a DOG yesterday without asking. She used her Christmas money. We already have THREE DOGS!!

And I have been contacted by the casting director of Project Runway to audition. For the third time. But… I’ve been ignoring that e mail. Until today. Two weeks before the audition tapes are due. Should I do it?

This will be the third time I have auditioned as I mentioned, and I wasn’t even going to do it because I’m so busy, and truthfully didn’t really think I was good enough to get on the show. But I’m also terrified I WILL get on, make something horrible and all the other contestants will say mean things about my work on camera, like they always do and I will be asked to “Go and collect my things”. But I just decided, thanks to the encouragement of some of my supportive blog friends, I’m going to do it!! I think I will regret it if I don’t at least try, right? After all, I’m not getting any younger and Gigi loves watching that show!

The director of my play is very demanding ( think four changes for some of the characters, 12 characters in all) and it needs to be done next week . Plus, I have six projects deadlines for a few craft companies I’m writing for. I don’t want to blow it with those opportunities either, because I worked hard to get those gigs.

So I’ll be taking a blog break. Something’s gotta give! But I’ll be popping in a few times over the next few weeks. I have a book giveaway to post.

I did want to mention that I will be releasing a sewing pattern based on a popular tutorial I wrote. It’s called the Ojai Wrap and it will be available in sizes XS to XL. I have improved the fit, made it less boxy and added tab sleeves. Because one size might fit all but might not be the best fit., It will be debuting on The Sewing Rabbit’s New Pattern Club April 1st.
